In this topic you have the opportunity to uncover details about the first native people in Iowa. It is believed that man may have lived in Iowa over 8000 years ago. The several classes that these people divide into are the: Paleo-Indians, the Archaic Indians, Pre-historic and the Historic Indians.

There are five distinct prehistoric cultures that lived in Iowa and about six historic ones that made Iowa their home. I would think in this Investigative Report you might isolate the distinctive characteristics of these cultures and present your findings. You might begin with the links below.
