Hank Hill's Guide to Propane and Propane Accessories

As you may already know, Hank Hill is the title character of Fox's show "King of the Hill", airing Tuesday nights. And, as you may also already know, Hank makes a living by selling propane and propane accesories. There are a growing number of resources on the web dedicated to Hank and the gang, but not too many which explore the possible daily routine of the characters. This page is an attempt to provide some links and information about the product which supports the Hill family -- propane.

Propane is as economical and environmentally safe as natural gas. Propane emissions meet the standards for clean air set by the EPA. Propane gas prices now average more than 50% lower than electricity prices nationwide. To find out more on the cost-effective benefits of propane, check out some of the links below.

Propane is not just for barbeques

A propane tank installed at a home can furnish the fuel for many household appliances. Kitchen stoves, ovens, water heaters, and furnaces can be fitted for propane. While the rest of the city is in the dark during a thunderstorm, you can be sitting comfortably in your home. See your local propane distributer for more information, and to see more about the benefits of propane residential use. Read more about propane, including the .

Remember Hank's slogan: Taste the meat, not the heat!

The theme song

In case you hadn't noticed, the folks at Fox put a different version of the theme song on the last few episodes of the first season. I'm sure their hearts were in the right place, but it really got my goat. As Hank would say, "That song ain't right." Anyway, I'm happy again as the old cowbells are back.

The new song658K wav

One notable difference is that the new version is harder, with much more guitar and drums. Also, the cow bells have been replaced by an obnoxious "Eeee-haaaaw". If you would like to voice your opinion, please . I guess it worked to use Dale's threatening phone call approach. ("You don't know me but I know you...")

Propane Art Corner

Here is a nice set of lyrics provided by Patrick Spallone, sung to the tune of Eric Clapton's "Cocaine":

If you wanna cook out you've got to worry ‘bout; propane.
Put the canister down, down on the ground; propane.
Need a light, need light, to ignite; propane.

I got some bad news, got the burned chicken blues; propane.
Before your food is done, you won’t wanna run out; propane.
Need a light, need light, to ignite; propane.

If your tank is done and you wanna fill on; propane.
Don't forget this fact, you can take it back; propane.
It won’t light, It won’t light, It won’t light; propane.
