ALS Information

This page is published in memory of my mother-in-law, Marian Nash, who was diagnosed with ALS in November of 1995 and died December 31, 1996.

This is probably not a comprehensive or up-to-date list of Web resources regarding amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease). It originally was the result of a one-time search to find information for my family. I do revise the page at the suggestion of others, as time permits. If you discover that a link is obsolete, or if you know of a page that isn't listed, please let know.

Family Caregiver Internet Experiences Study

Danita Ewing is conducting a study of family caregivers that use the Internet to support their caregiving. Danita is a doctoral student studying family nursing at Oregon Health and Science University. The purpose of her study is to learn whether using the Internet is or is not benefiting family caregivers, in order to design web sites for caregivers which can help meet their needs. Please visit the study web site at to learn more about the opportunity to participate in this study.
