Classes will return to CSPS, 1103 3rd Street this Saturday, September 4th. All ages are welcome and no partner is required. Wear comfortable clothes. Shoes with smooth soles are preferable.

Lessons are free, but a donation of $5 or so will be happily accepted.

Experience Argentine Tango at the Iowa City Practicas. In these practices work on beginning elements you've learned in classes. 1st hour focuses on learning & practicing fundamentals 2nd hour is open to general tango practice. Share your skills & passion. A donation of $1.00-$2.00 per person is requested for use of the hall & given to Wesley Center. Although not required, donations above this will be gratefully accepted by Hosts Greg & Jane K. for their beginning instruction work..

Club Arizona, 222 Glenbrook Drive, Cedar Rapids (Behind Taco John's across from Lindale and Let's Dance) is featuring Salsa, merengue, bachata, cha-cha and cumbia, and rancheras. Call after 4 pm with questions. Thursday, Gloria will be teaching basic salsa from 9:00 until 10:00.

LATIN DANCE SOCIAL (Ames): Dance from 10:30PM - 1:30AM on FRIDAY, August 27th (and every other following Friday) at the "Clave Rhythmz" Friday Night Latin Dance Socials at Cafe Escape (2402 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA). Free salsa rueda lessons by John "The Mambo Man" at 10:30PM and Social Dancing to the Hot & Spicy sounds of Afro-Latin Rhythms at 11:00PM. Admission only $3.00.
The U of I Latin American Dance Club holds classes Sunday night in Iowa City at the UI Field House in room 462 starting around 6:04 pm. Right now they are taking a break, but I will let you know when lessons start again. Those lessons are also free, but donations are welcomed.
